The Naija Startups Buddy Connect Program
Sometime last year, our founder faced a challenging work situation involving regulatory compliance. She reached out to a Naija Startups member—someone she wasn’t particularly close to but hoped would be instrumental in helping to unravel the situation.
What happened next was a true testament to the power of this network. That member didn’t just offer advice, they went above and beyond, providing step-by-step guidance on how to manage the issue, what to do, and what to avoid. Their support made a lasting impact, and it became clear that this is what Naija Startups is all about—leveraging the strength of our community to help each other thrive.
But here’s the thing: not everyone has been able to tap into this value. Some engage actively in the Banter Room, others connect at in-person events, but many still haven’t experienced the full potential of our network.
That’s why we introduced the Buddy Connect Program - an initiative designed to foster meaningful connections within our network.
How It Works
Each member of the network is paired with another member for:
  • Relationship building
  • Brainstorming of ideas
  • Fostering accountability
  • General check-ins
  • Navigating the network

This initiative is open to all members, and we encourage our members to take advantage of it! #BetterTogether
